The Augmented personnel Module, or APM Worksuit, is a hardshelled spacesuit which allows its operator to work in a shirtsleeve environment for extended periods. It is a hexagonal radially symmetrical spindle with six configurable work arms. It can be equipped with Type II or III Phasers for self defense or for use as a light space combat unit.
 APM Worksuits bear a number of colour schemes appropriate to their duty assignments. Suits assigned to starbase duty are usually painted a high-visibility yellow, while those assigned to starships generally bear the standard Starfleet light blue-grey colour scheme. Suits assigned to Rapid Reaction Teams and other ground forces can be seen in a variety of camouflage schemes. Suits used by covert operations teams may be found in a low-visibility matte black scheme. |
