Background Notes
Greta was born in München (Munich) and moved to Bayreuth when she was a child. While her younger sister Talja was involved in athletics, Greta was more bookish, creating elaborate holodramas for herself and her friends. Her natural empathy for others led her to enter Starfleet as a Counsellor.

At Starfleet Academy, Greta studied first contact protocols. In her first tour of duty on the USS Challenger, she took part in the diplomatic mission to the planet Eltanin ("Eltanin The Avenger," Challenge 55, December 1991). During her second tour, the Challenger took part in the second battle against the Borg at Earth (Star Trek: Insurrection). During that battle, the Challenger became trapped in an alternate universe where the Borg assimilated Earth in the 21st century. Lt. Grön was instrumental in forming an alliance with the Klingons and Romulans of that universe to defeat the Borg. The Challenger subsequently used a high-Warp "slingshot" around Sol to return in time to a point immediately prior to the Borg incursion, then repeated the process to return to the 24th century.

Lt, Gröen is conducting experiments with Challenger's EMH aimed at exploring and expanding the capabilities of holographic doctors as long-term medical supplements to the medical staff. She has redesigned the EMH's interface using a female persona, Dr. Florence Nightengale, and a gentler bedside manner than Louis Zimmerman's original.

Description and Personality
Height: 1.7m
Mass: 64kg
Complexion: fair
Hair: ash blonde
Eyes: green

Greta has been described as "a force to be reckoned with." To be sure, she has a forceful personality, but underlying it is a sensitive soul, deeply concerned with the emotional and mental well-being of her crew. It is for this reason that she rejected the initial personality of the ship's EMH, as she felt that Lewis Zimmerman's bedside manner was far from a beneficial contribution to the health of patients in the Challenger's sickbay.

Notes For a description of the Psychology Skill, see the entry in the House Rules section.
