![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() A Duck Blind consists of a number of Runabout modules buried in a cliff, bluff or other high point overlooking the subject area. A field generator module maintains both the holographic camouflage as well as the force fields preventing unauthorised entry. Observation of the area is conducted from the control room, where the activities of the subjects can be monitored both through holographically concealed windows and by means of various remote sensors. The control room also houses the two-place transporter. A modified lateral half-load module houses a single type 15 shuttlepod outfitted with seating for four. Entry to and egress from the station to the surface is made by means of a tunnel from the shuttlepod hangar module. Launching of the shuttlepod is done under cover of a holographic projection, usually at night. Each Duck Blind is crewed by four persons commanded by a Lieutenant or Lieutenant (junior grade). These crewmen are trained in a variety of social sciences. |
